The Right Flat Shader Brush Technique

A flat shader brush has many uses for the artist. The brush is great for shading, basecoats, blending or highlighting. As with most brushes, there are different size flat shader brushes. If you’re painting a wall, you may need a larger brush size compared to if you’re painting a picture.

The flat shader brush will be flexible and snap back to shape when gently bent. It can also apply broad strokes or a fine line depending on how the brush is held.
