The Select Filbert Series is part of a vast line of 29 distinct shapes, 108 individual brushes created for oil, acrylic and watercolor artists. The creation of a quality paint brush involves skills perfected over centuries. Although some of the processes have become more automated over time, many aspects of a brush are created by hand. Brush makers hand ‘cup’ the hair to shape, so that each strand falls into place, giving the brush its fine tapered point or a clean, straight edge.
The Princeton Select line of brushes goes beyond the basic brush shapes and sizes that make up the artist's arsenal. Joining the usual Rounds, Filberts, Flats, Chisel Blenders, and Liners are exciting technique brushes that include Lunar Blender and Filbert Grainers.
